[Sheflug] Still can't understand Xhost etc.

Put
xhost +local:
in your Xsession, xinitrc, or whatever you use to start your session
(the window manager's start function is fine too). The colon is
signficant and must be attached to the word local IIRC.

Right. root != baz. In the original scenario, baz owns the X server,
nobody else can connect without his permission. No connect, no
changes to authentication.
