[Sheflug] More SuSE information
-Alex,
I have recorded the tcpdump on the laptop when pinging to the Linux Server
The response is:
>>>NBT UDP PACKET(137): QUERY: POSITIVE: RESPONSE: UNICAST
14:58:39.320880 192.168.0.1.137 > 192.168.0.100.32768:
When pinging from the Linux Server to the Laptop, the tcpdump reads:
15:07:36.171775 arp who-has 192.168.0.171 tell 192.168.0.100
15:07:36.172041 arp reply 192.168.0.171 is-at 0:60:63:1:d0:3d
The tcpdump on the Linux Server at the same time show (from the Linux Server)
the usual who-has message and when pinging to the server, nothing at all is
recorded
Does this help?
Alistair
