[Sheflug] mandrake 8.1 / my firewall thing

okay, i tried installing mandrake as my firewall yesterday. installation
went fine, and both net cards and net connection was established. i ran the
firewall wizard and answered everyting, but whenever i tried to access the
net from anther machine, it didnt work. if i can get mandrake workin id like
to, because it runs rather well i thought (at least better suse 7.2 with all
its random threads and processes) and i quite like the look of it.

so, asssuming i can install it again tmrw (have switched back to smoothwall
to write this and check mails), could someone tell me exactly what to do
once ive got it up and running - how to get internet actually shared?
without using thier crappy wizard.

i want intially to be running apache / dhcp server / internet sharing. once
i have all this, i can download one of those firewall programs and let it
figure out to do it. (ps: i need to have net sharing up first and foremost,
regardless of how vunerable i will be.... my housemates lost their net for
almost half a day yesterday and weren't half pleases, and i figure if stuff
doesnt work after that, someone here will be able to help)

cheers
james

*crying becuase he cant even get a wizard to work right*
