Thanks to all this has made the decision much easier and with a few 
instructions to my Mum I imagine everything will work out fine. Ill let you 
all know what happens.

Since I dont have a choice as to which camera is bought for me I can only 
hope its serial connection, since that will probably be easiest, but if its 
any of the others it will give me something to do other than look at maths 
equations :-)

Special thanks to those who gave directions where to buy the bits and pieces 
from if the need arises.
