Look in the server flags section of the config.

I have:

    Option      "standby time"  "20"
    Option      "suspend time"  "30"
    Option      "off time"      "60"

Then look at the monitor setup. Make sure you have:

    Option     "dpms"

If you have, then I'm stumped. :)
Or maybe 4.0.2 will fix it, some hardware support has yet to fully catch
up with the doings of XFree 4.
