If it's really a problem, might be an idea tell them that you prefer
to use banks that don't try and enforce their preferences/ideals on
their customers, then move your business, pointing out in writing
why...
When I had this sort of problem with Egg I did seriously consider
closing my account - especially since they are a primarily internet
based bank (although they now have call centres that they no longer
charge you the pleasure of calling...)
The Egg website was very slow and ropey to start with, then improved,
although all this IE favouritism does grate with me - if it goes
on...well - there are plenty other banks :-)

Just turn off Javascript with Egg. Some manager/genius/webmonkey
decided to stick in some script that checks the browser ID.
I'm guessing that Egg's site would work with NS6.x, but not Mozilla.

It's definitely a PITA - the internet is supposed to be cross
country/OS/hardware, not an extension of Micro$oft's marketing
machine.
