[Sheflug] Mandrake 7.1

fist line of call.

Set up mandrake 7.1 as server with pop and sendmail, my windows 98
clients log into my linux box. They use Samba with smb.conf working.

problems:

dhcpd :DHCP server works but does not hold information about client host
names and ip, mac address ?

pop: use netscape on windows 98 clients send mail but will not return to
the same user. i.e  user01 [at] dekiru.gr.jp sent to user01 same address.

The domain name is not true, and no connection to the internet, I have
set up DNS to resolve server.dekiru.gr.jp and ns www smpt.

please can anyone help, I am using this setup for education purpose
only, is there a problem with Mandrake 7.1, use to have this working
with Red Hat 6.0.

should the server resolve host name to ip address, in order to return
mail.

thinking about calling in at your user group, I attend manchester as
much as I can
