Yes, and yes. Format never gets further than newbie, and Linux User can
get like reading a howto in a 40x10 xterm at 1600x1200 res :-)

Linux magazine is available at WH Smiths, GT, and the little newsagents at
Upperthorpe (where I get mine). They do cover far more in depth stuff than
the others. The current project section is building and programming a
remote control using the irda interface.

Seems more is yet to come too. Linux Magazine is definitely worth a
look. Also, the cover disk is pretty good, too!
