[Sheflug] Printing speed

Hi!
I am curious about something... I have a HP 890C printer hanging
from a samba server, accessed both by Linux (sorry, GNU/Linux :D) and
WinXX clients. While the Windows clients print stuff to it in colour and
do so at a reasonable speed, the linux boxen take forever. It doesn't
take long to filter them out, but it's the physical printing that takes
ages.

I am using ghostscript 6.01 with apsfilter unstable (as this
configures remote printers on the fly... hooray!!!). I believe the gs
driver is cdj890 (or possibly cdj890c). I know that the quality is bad
compared to the Windows driver (or you play around with the gamma
settings), but the speed difference seems to be more a problem of
configuration than anything else.

	Any clues?
	Cheers,
	José
