Here's the BogoMIPS from my P75:
Sep 16 03:18:34 noodles kernel: Detected 75003 kHz processor.
Sep 16 03:18:34 noodles kernel: Calibrating delay loop... 149.50
BogoMIPS
And from my SMP PII 400...
Sep 10 20:23:56 flux kernel: Processors: 2
Sep 10 20:23:56 flux kernel: Initializing CPU#0
Sep 10 20:23:56 flux kernel: Detected 398944743 Hz processor.
Sep 10 20:23:56 flux kernel: Calibrating delay loop... 796.26 BogoMIPS
Sep 10 20:23:56 flux kernel: CPU1: Intel Pentium II (Deschutes) stepping
02
Sep 10 20:23:56 flux kernel: CPU has booted.
Sep 10 20:23:56 flux kernel: Total of 2 processors activated (1592.52
BogoMIPS).
If you want to know what the machine is, read the BIOS boot screen. It
usually gives the right info there.
Ignore BogoMIPS - the name is based on Bogus...suggest anything?
They are used purely for loop timing, IIRC.
Read the BogoMIPS How-to for more info - there is a rough guide to
BogoMIPS to Mhz, but it depends on processor, model, weather, what you
had for breakfast etc :-)
