Do you have ZAxisMapping 4 5 and Buttons 5 set in the Pointer section of your
XF86Config ? I found staroffice automatically recognised my scrolly mouse
when I did. I have Xresources for xterm and netscape, Gnome and KDE both
will work automatically (eventually, gnome does currently kde lagging).

I'm fairly certain SO5.1 is free for commercial use too, sun were even
considering opening the src code up. As understand they intend making no
money from sales of this s/w at all, it's entirely there to piss the hell out
of MS. Plust the fact that now solaris+SO is a viable alternative to
MS+Office.
