dos floppies
in all the time i've been using linux, i have never used the floppy drive for
anything other than recovery disks. i tried copying my college work onto a
fresh floppy and geuss what...... linux doesn't like it! says i don't have
permision (who does that Linus bloke think he is ;-) )
i've since narrowed the problem down to the fact that it's formated as dos.
it's quite happy if i format the disk as extfs2
i wouldn't really mind but it means i can't work on the files at work (win NT
m/c)
any suggestions ?
