RE: Pine and sendmail (further news)
are you sure mail.zetnet.co.uk is the smtp server - that's what port 25
indicates. while it's not unknown for pop & smtp servers to have the same
name (or rather, alias) it's the exception rather than the rule. usual
names would be smtpmail.zet..., smtp.zet... or relay.zet...
OK, I just pinged relay.zetnet.co.uk, which returns ok (194.247.40.9) so
try using that as the smtp server for sendmail smarthost. In Pine you need
smtp set to localhost of course, since you are doing smtp locally.
