I seem to recall chapter 4 of the 'Batbook' having info about dialup, 
but I've lent my copy to a fellow in WYLUG so I can't check.

But I did use it extensivly when messing around with the 
sendmai.cf file.

The nice thing about Windows is that it doesn't just crash.
It displays a dialogue box and lets you click OK first.
